7th & 8th Graders
Throughout the school year students will have the opportunity
to take part in a variety of after school sports offered at
Copper Ridge. The following is a list of sports any 7th and
8th grade students can take part in:

Girls Volleyball Girls Softball Girls Basketball Girls Track
Cheer/Spirtline Cheer/Spirtline
*** Important Requirements ***
Before any student can practice or try-out for a team, they
must have:
“ Two” (2) Parental Consent Cards and a Physical on file at
our school.
Cards can be picked up at the front office or by contacting
any coach. Physicals conducted on or after March 1, 2007 are
good for participation in any one or more sports during the
2007-2008 school year. Students will need a new physical each
year. All cards should be turned into the nurse in the Health
office.
Any students interested in playing Baseball or Volleyball
will a physical A.S.A.P.
No students will be allowed to try-out until they are cleared.
*** Walk-in Locations for Physicals ***
1) U.S. Healthworks , which is located at 10335 N. Scottsdale
Rd. (on the southeast corner of Scottsdale and Shea Blvd.),
has a walk-in clinic, which administers Physicals for $52.50
dollars. It is open Mon.-Fri., from 8:00am -6:30 pm or on
Sat. from 9:00-12:30. The phone number is (480) 991-9358
2) Next Care Urgent Care, which is located at 7425 E. Shea
Blvd. and at 20950 N. Tatum Blvd. (Suite 190) in Desert Ridge
Medical Building. Each facility has a walk-in clinic, which
administers Physicals from 8:00am –7:00pm Mon-Fri and 8:00am
- 3:30pm Sat. & Sun. with No appointment necessary. $45
